Elder Cannon Eagar- Dominican Republic Santiago Mission February 2025 - February 2027

  Hola hola! Hope everyone had a good week!! This week here went smoothly and was pretty fun actually! We had a lot going on with people in teaching and activities. We had our interviews with President on tuesday and that all went very well exept we missed out bus we litterly wached it drive away so had to wait a extra hour for the next one to go home. We even had a few crazy short crazy rain and wind storms. Everytime it rains here its gets veey windy and it rain sidways and leaks through the shutters and the doors. Dominican housing for ya... friday we had our usual activity at the church and we had like 4 people show up so it wasent bad but.. its crazy how small this branch is. There is only like three families and a few random people its so small and hard to work with but its ok. The president has a truck so he helps us out a lot which is very nice.   Hola todos i hope everyone had a outstanding week! This sunday was my 6 months mark so crazy! Only 18 months more to do what i need to do in the beautiful country. Time is so weird it starts off slow and gets fast and faster and faster. I dont like it but anyways this week was pretty dang good! Too start it off Tuesday i had a companion exchange with my district leader then when we went to leave the house in the afternoon the AP'S were in a car outside and did splits with us so we were all in a trio and had 6 people stay the night in the apartment. Whille walking around all the people in teaching were just so confused about three new gringos showing up we had to explain it to litterly every person. But that was a cool experience. Later in the week we were in an area that is pretty run down and poor its quite sad. While walking around i saw a shiny short nail in the road. For some reason i felt like i should pick it up so i did it ended up in in my pocket. About two hours went by ...

  Hello everyone!!! I got transfered!! I am now in Sabaneta which is between Santiago city and the Haiti and boy its hot its right around 100 right now its absolutely amazin hahah. I must say getting your call where your going the night before at 10 sucks... you dont get to say goodbye to anyone really and you just pack up and leave everything there. Not gonna lie I was sad to leave after being there a few months you start to actually have friends and know them. Then just leave it all for the next missionary but thats just how the mission works i guess. I came here with Elder Miller who is pretty chill.We both had no idea what to do so we had to talk to people that had been before and find a bus that would take us to where we needed it was a disaster! But we finally got on a bus and we were both so tired and when i woke up i had like 20 missed calles from members and missionarys... boy my gut sank i called a member and got things sorted out he said he was going to meet us somwhere ...

  Hello everyone! I have officially hit 5 months in the country. Its crazy times starting to go by faster and faster. I have been doing good! Transfers are coming up this thursday so we will see if ima leave this beautiful area and go to a place called constanza which is in the mountins and its cold.. prolly wouldn't go there but boy that would be so cool! This week has been so crazy let me say that.. to start it off i got to see the ocean and feel the cool breeze it was lit! The reason for this is i got to go to the capital santo domingo for the day to get my residence so they dont take me away. It was honestly horrendously bad. I dont even know if thats a word... we got there and stood outside for over 4 hours it felt like prison. We couldent sit we couldent move to the shade nothin..
