Elder Cannon Eagar- Dominican Republic Santiago Mission February 2025 - February 2027

  Hola hola! Hope everyone had a amazing week! This weeks been good we had quite a few people come to church and a few new people in teaching now! To start this off we had a reference last week sent to us and it took us a few times to actually find his house. He lives so far away and its on top of a freaking mountain so you are litterly so dead by the time you get to him and sweaty but its always worth it hes amazing! From up there you can see all of santiago and all the little cities around it. His name is miguelangel and he has the funniest laugh its more like we just good friends then just there to teach him the gospel i love it. He invited us to go with him on p-day up into the mountins to visit his family and go fish but hes not feeling good so maybe next monday. We were able to get two of our friends this week to accept a baptism date so thats very exciting!   Ive officially hit 5 months im so old and i am no longer a greenie as they would call me. My shirts are no longer very white and my back hurts. I freaking hate the beds here you can feel every single spring. But what do you do🤷‍♂️. This weeks been a bit of a struggle for me and my companion. We dont get along the best at times and it makes it difficult to work. But i am really learnin about humility and just letting things go even tho i just wanna fight and prove him wrong, ive gotten a lot better at just being like ok and moving on with the day. Ill make a funny comment or statement and i just get a dirty look as a laugh. I find myself pretty much talking to my self now, its kinda depressin. But it has made me a better cook ive cooked every day since hes been here and i was getting so frustrated about him not helping but i guess its making me a better cook and hes not getting better.   Hello everyone! What a busy week i had and this is how it went! Tuesday night i got my new companion and he is awsome it was fun we were in a trio for like 3 days so that was pretty fun! Then Elder Cook went home thurday night... Its crazy to think that hes home just living life and i have like 19 more months haha. But that just means my spanish can only get better i think. The night before he my companion went home we were were getting some food and a drunk dude came up to us demanding money and yelling at us. There was a dude that was sitting under a shade working on his motorcycle and he came running over and yelled at him and ran him off. It was pretty cool, we are homies now.   Well happy late 4th of july! Apparently they dont celebrate that here what a shame. I mean we are allies with them so they should celebrate with us hahah. But ya hope everyone had a good safe week! This weeks been full and this upcoming sunday we should have two baptisms!!! And also my companion right now leaves on thursday so then i will have another new fella with me so thats pretty cool. But this week has been a lot of walking we walked over a hour to a social media referral and got totally pranked, i was not very happy... but on thursday we had a crazy day... i saw a hot dog stand cart so i was like lets get one... the dude took it off the grill put ketchup and some mayo and some other sauce. Little did i know this other sauce what made to kill. I am not kidding i was crying and sweating tears. I litterly ran into a store i got a water and chugged it so fast.
