Elder Cannon Eagar- Dominican Republic Santiago Mission February 2025 - February 2027

  Hello everyone! Hope everyone had a amazing week and this week goes amazing! So much went on this week i dont even know where too start. The other elders had a baptisms and it went amazing a very cool experience and cool too see the whole family in church. It rained a ton and been some pretty crazy/fun weather. I got cussed out by some dude in english outside of church on sunday because he though we invited him to church to talk outside about the gosepl? and dident want to go to church because the church is inside of us... He strait up just cussed us out and wouldent go inside with us it was so weird. Been a while since ive been cussed out. He also was deported from the u.s. a few years ago and we are pretty sure hes killed someone and he is covered from head to toe in tattoos. Dont worry we arent teachings him we just invited him to chuch. I had a dude call me mid lesson that was a reference from like a year ago and just straight up tell me hes going to kill himself and hes mess...

 This week was flippin hectic! To start it off i got to play some baseball and we absolutely destroyed the team of 20 dominican 10 year olds it was so funny. They run around like little minions and think they are so good i love it. But then Wednesday we left the house and were going to meet the president of the branch and we got close to his house and we met a dude that was in teaching and he bought us all drinks and then we received a call from president saying he couldent meet becuase he was far from town so we were like crap we have to catch a bus at 6 and its 4 so we me and Elder miller started to walk to the church to do calls and the other elders were going to teach in the other area. We split up and they decided to go to Bon which is a ice cream shop so we stopped and followed.   Hello all another week down! This coming  Wednesday i hit 7 months on the mission!!! Absolutely crazy its just gettin faster and faster. This week went very well and even made some really good relationships along the way a part i Absolutely love! It makes the time here so much funner when you start making relationships and have fun with the people not just teach them. Im loving it more and more! This week we had 6 new people in church that are in teaching and 3 inactive members that weve been teaching so that been very good! One of them is a older lady that is the nicest person ever shared her testimony in church and it was absolutly amazing i was inpressed. Its really sad her husband dose not suport her faith or anything so its been hard for her but shes been too church twice with us and has been making friends and laughing it up. So cool too see when the members help them out and make them feel welcome. We've received a bit of rain throughout the week but on Saturday we go...

 Wepa! What a week its been in the DR... last monday which was p-day went to the beach which was like 3 hours of buss riding and a ton of money big mistake bit it was fun and pretty. On the way there we got stopped on this one buss 4 times. The police and boarder control stop the buss and get in and walk all the way to the end to the bus which is where we sit... on the third one we were told to get off and follow this dude. I felt powerless being in normal clothes but we got off and walked to this table and they cheaked all of our papers and asked us where we were going and let us go. Good this my companion was legal at that point... we received a bunch of rain like 4 days in a row every afternoon and two days in a row we saw the lightning that took out the power for a few hours. One day it has rained and we started the day off and crossed a little "wash" and were teaching on the other side.   This week was so good and went smooth! I witnessed so many thing and saw the hand of God so much! Too start this off I got an opportunity to go on an exchange this week with a missionary that ive known pretty much my whole mission we shared my first area. I went to his area which was like 1 hour or so from my area and we got to work. It was a absolute blast we started knocking out lessons one my one. Every one going smooth and you could just feel the stillness and peace durning these lessons it was crazy. We then had to go back to the house becuase the house Elders dident have keys and to get in the house to work on somthing so we gave them the keys and walked to a lesson. Then after we sent them our location and they picked us up and took us too two of their recent converts. We then called a Margareta and a Margareta is a three wheel machine used for transportation here.. the wheels are bout the size of a basket ball and has like 3 gears and im pretty sure has like a 100cc engin...
