The shiny nail
Hola todos i hope everyone had a outstanding week! This sunday was my 6 months mark so crazy! Only 18 months more to do what i need to do in the beautiful country. Time is so weird it starts off slow and gets fast and faster and faster. I dont like it but anyways this week was pretty dang good! Too start it off Tuesday i had a companion exchange with my district leader then when we went to leave the house in the afternoon the AP'S were in a car outside and did splits with us so we were all in a trio and had 6 people stay the night in the apartment. Whille walking around all the people in teaching were just so confused about three new gringos showing up we had to explain it to litterly every person. But that was a cool experience. Later in the week we were in an area that is pretty run down and poor its quite sad. While walking around i saw a shiny short nail in the road. For some reason i felt like i should pick it up so i did it ended up in in my pocket. About two hours went by and i walked by a dude with two hammers. With one he was flattening these old rusty bend nails. I stoped and observed what he was doing and he was fixing the other hammer by driving these nails in the top of the hammer where the handle meets the head. I started to walk of the remembered hey i have that nail in my pocket so i turned around and set that nail on the rock he was working on and he looked at the nail then at me a just said its perfect thank you so much and put the nail he was working on aside and then drove this shiny nail right in the middle of the handle there wasent room for one more nail but that shiny nail was right in the middle of about 4 or 5 rusty nails. It was something so simple and so random but the feeling it gave me was like no other just because of this shiny nail. This is something that ive really started to notice and be more thankful for along my mission the little tiny things the simple things. Ive observed from people that have been in teaching and people that have fallen away from the church they want somthing big. They was a giant miracle that they cant mistake for luck. But in reality we receive blessings and miracles every day. Thing that we never even realize but just think is part of life but is really a gift from God. That is what has really stuck out to me throughout this week. Butttt on another point i experienced some funny stuff in this area... theres a group of kids that ride their bikes and skooters around with life-jackets on and they look so funny and think they are so cool.😂 Another is we were talking to a older lady and we asked bout her husband and she just stared going off on have hes a know it all and he thinks he knows korati and hes such a pain but she still loves him😂 Another is we play basket ball every friday night and invite a bunch of kids and people and go play and there were 5 kids talking it up on how good they were so us missionarys and another kid played against them and us two white dudes and two short Guatemalan teenagers wipped their trash is was sooooo funny. One thing thats been pretty cool about this area is mid day which is 10 too 4 no one is outside and its litterly a goast town and so quiet its quite nice but sucks when your trying to talk to people. The heat is really getting to me im so tired every day and at night its hard to sleep because of the heat but at least its quiet hahah. Everything been going great and im loving the work more and more every week! But thats about all for this week! Hope everyone has a great week and talk to you guys next week!
