Elder Cannon Eagar- Dominican Republic Santiago Mission February 2025 - February 2027

  We have officially hit December its almost 2026 thats crazy! Things are going good like usual nothing to crazy but.  We will have transfers this thursday so i hope im not staying a 4th transfer here in Sabaneta. Im honestly ready to go somwhere else. 🤞   The other day me and my comp were walking past a slaughter house and decided to look at all the hogs and there was this cow tied up and as we were walking by in the dark the cow charged after us and after a quick scream the cow reached the end of the rope and it looked as if he hit a brick wall, his back legs lifted of the ground and bout broke his neak. We got a good laugh! Then after this comotion a Hation dude came running in behind us screaming and scared the crap out of us. He thought he was so funny which he was😂  We took a bus to Moa today for p-day and a group of teenage girls got on like 6 or so and sat around us and jones was in the back and it didn't take long until the girls were all over him hugging ...

  Hola hola! Hope everyone had a amazing Thanksgiving! That is not celebrated down here if you were wondering. We had another amazing week here so ima get into it!  We got to go to the temple on Saturday with 3 of our recent converts which was a total of about 10 hours in a toy bus it was terrible. We had to be at the church at 4am and turns out bald dude here scheduled the bus for the wrong Saturday so we has to wait a while. (He also had to ask me what time the bus was going to be at the church, buddys missing some brain cells) But the temple was absolutly beautiful and we got to do a ton of baptisms i ended up baptizing like 10 people 5 times per person. I got some crazy names i sounded so white. Us 4 sabaneta Elders are viral across the DR. The president of the branch was feeding us after church and he lives soooo far so he said hop in the back and we will be right there... for those of you who dont know missionary are not supposed to ride in the back.   Another week gone just like that, times so slow but fast i dont like it one bit. This week went well had a lot of crazy experiences and lots of funny ones along the way! To start it off our two recent converts are going to the temple with us on Saturday for the first time! Also their parents finally came too church and absolutely loved it and we finally had the while family there together. Let me tell you thats the coolest thing to see is a whole family come together!! We had another family pull up and a few others, we had the whole church full they were dragging chairs in from the other rooms it was awsome.  We have some other people really starting to progress and we even got to paint part of one dudes house. (It looked so bad even all the hations working around us were disgusted by the way it turned out..) they just made fun of us in their crazy language that sounds like they are choking on somthing. But other then all that, thats bout all new here still alive and wanderi...

Went amazing parents showed up too -The power went out in the whole country for about 6 or so hours -Found soooo many new people too teach this week! -My companions spanish is improving a ton -My old comp got robbed  -I got offered a free pigeon for a pet. I did not accept the offer. -it dumped a ton of rain on saturday and cleaned all the trash off the streets -theres a ton of kids that managed to get their hands of fire works. A ton of them  - I ate chichen foot. I do not recommended...   Hola hola another week gone! This week went good as usual and had some successful lessons id say! To start off we had zone confrence and it went amazin! We definitely have the best mission president prove me wrong. Had a awsome companion exchange with elder jones who lives in the same house and we had a absolute blast. The rest of the week went good found some amazin people which was followed by some fire restoration lessons. We have one family thats been in teaching for about 3 weeks and they are the absolute best! The dads name is Carlos and hes the definition of the cool uncle. Hes by far my best friend in the area! One night we were sitting in the house and they have a metal roof and we just herd a rat go running across the roof so we joked around for a bit about it then the next time i saw one in the house and he jumped up as fast as he could off of the floor and said lets go kill it, so we went and tried to kill it😂 we never saw the rat again... but there is a different fa...

  Welp where did October go, 31 days gone, times going by so fast but boy is it slow at the same time! I hope everyone is doing well and everything at home is good. Im still alive and its been cooler here also! At night im geting to sleep with my sheet and a little blanket but the fan still has to stay on. Me and my comp have been getting along very well! We both love taking short cuts... the other day we took a epic one it involved crossing a canyon with a little creek in the bottom. It was the steepest and thickest thing i think ive ever climbed and walked/repellent down! (Prolly not but) It was so fun and it was so pretty, i sure aint in arizona. I do miss the wide varieties of landscape in arizona tho here its all the same but it could all be dead so its not that bad haha. But the work here has been going good had a few experience that were so cool and un deniable and un real.
