Eye too eye 👁
Hello everyone! I have officially hit 5 months in the country. Its crazy times starting to go by faster and faster. I have been doing good! Transfers are coming up this thursday so we will see if ima leave this beautiful area and go to a place called constanza which is in the mountins and its cold.. prolly wouldn't go there but boy that would be so cool! This week has been so crazy let me say that.. to start it off i got to see the ocean and feel the cool breeze it was lit! The reason for this is i got to go to the capital santo domingo for the day to get my residence so they dont take me away. It was honestly horrendously bad. I dont even know if thats a word... we got there and stood outside for over 4 hours it felt like prison. We couldent sit we couldent move to the shade nothin.. Everyone was so sun burnt some worse then other but it was not pleasant.. then we finally got to eat somthing for the first time that day at 4 and got back to the house at about 10. It was a long day😂. I did get to sit by a 12 year old boy on the way home and he talked my ear off for the 2.5 hour drive about cars and showing me videos he was a legend! Bishop here has been poping off on us he is so awsome! Weve had so many activities at the church and his help and driving us around blasting music just like every other dominican here its awsome. On another note we were walking in a area called the promise land no joke and its so far hahah it suits its name well. After a while i went up to a wood and cardboard house and knocked and no one answered so i knocked again and looked through the wall and at the same time these white eyes met mine a foot from me. We both screamed it was so funny😂😂 it was scary he was very dark skinned.... and it was dark in there sooo. He was pretty chill and said he would go to chuch. He dident but. Another cool story a member named julio was telling us about a friend that he was talking too and he was gonna go to chuch and all this but dident have a number. He never came but that was about 3 weeks ago. This week were were walking down a street and i felt we should go down this drainage and go to this other street so we did and we saw a dude outside just chillin so we went and talked to him and found out that he was the friend that julio was talking about and he is awsome it was truly a miracle that we found this guy. Like we dident know nothing about him name where he lived nothing so that was very cool too see. Also this week we have really been talking about the importance of families to people and the power and friendship that can come from it. That is something that have such a strong testimony and knowledge of is the power of familys. The more and more i study and learn about the gospel the more i relize that families are forever and God has blessed us with them to help us. That is somethin that has really stuck out this week and has been a big topic in teachings. I have a invitation that ive been extending to everyone here so i was to extend it to you guys also. Its to say family prayes every night for one week straight and look for the blessing from it through out the week. These blessings could be that you get to actually say goodnight to everyone or see the blessing through out the day during the prayer, or even just having a moment to say thanks for the safty and heath that we've had. A scripture that goes along with this that i love is in 3 nephi 18, 19-21
