Hola chicos!
Ive officially hit 5 months im so old and i am no longer a greenie as they would call me. My shirts are no longer very white and my back hurts. I freaking hate the beds here you can feel every single spring. But what do you do🤷♂️. This weeks been a bit of a struggle for me and my companion. We dont get along the best at times and it makes it difficult to work. But i am really learnin about humility and just letting things go even tho i just wanna fight and prove him wrong, ive gotten a lot better at just being like ok and moving on with the day. Ill make a funny comment or statement and i just get a dirty look as a laugh. I find myself pretty much talking to my self now, its kinda depressin. But it has made me a better cook ive cooked every day since hes been here and i was getting so frustrated about him not helping but i guess its making me a better cook and hes not getting better. I made some fire steak burritos the other day i was very pleased. I also bought me a Japanese knife because they all suck here and let me tell you its a sharp ash knife. I was cutting some cheese and it went through and clipped my finger. I sat in shock for a while as the blood went down my hand and hit the floor. I guess its been a while since i used a knife that could cut me. I couldn't belive that i cut myself i was so mad that i did it, i was ashamed for my dumb action. And speaking of cut i got a hair cut last monday and it looked alright with the pound and a half of hairjell he put it but when i washed it all out it was so bad. I called it the les cut... if you get it you get it. sooooooo bad that i stood in the mirror with scissors and did it myself. Its better but definitely looks as if i did it. This Saturday we had to opertunity to go to the temple with our recent convert and help her go through. After a long buss ride we made it to the santo domingo temple. Its very pretty! Its crazy because all around it is a bunch off tall apartments that like tower over it its kinda crazy. But it was a very good experience. So that counted as my p day so technically im not supposed to send a email today but... then sunday morning we got a call from bishop about 30 mins before church asking if we could give a talk. I was not in a good mood and told him i couldn't prepare one in that time. My companion said yes and while in church i just had a feeling that i should go up and talk. So after my companion talked i went up and sent it. It went a whole lot better then i thought and i got the message across to everyone. Then after church we had another HXP group with a bunch of gringos come and go visit people with us and there is a leader his names Dan hes very chill and he loves old trucks and he has a bunch that hes fixed up so i had a great chat about old trucks with this older man. But overall things going good things are moving and spanish is feeling so much better by the day. Hope everyone has a outstanding week and talk next monday!
