Day 112
What an week its been! Been hot to say the least and sun is so draining but lucky the nights aint been too bad. This week was very crazy. I had to go to Santo Domingo for my residence. It was about a 3 hour bus ride so you know i slept on that bus. I had to get my blood drawn and i freaking hate shots then just imagine a lady that you can barly understandstick a needle in you. Absolutely terrifying who knows if that needle was even new hahah. I got home late that night then the following day had to go into the city for interviews then we had a exchange. I got to go with a giant Haition dude that is absolutely scared of getting deported and getting jumped. The whole time he was on edge and everytime we would walk through my short cuts which are through fields he always said i dont like this i dont like this. It was pretty funny then at the house before bed he went and locked our bedroom door and shut the window by him. I dident let him shut mine because its was so hot. He was a funny dude and was a good time learned a lot with him. We finally got one of our dudes in teaching on date hes been to church 5 times already and is progressing slowly but steady. We had a recent convert show up to church that hasent been in a while because he keeps getting deported back to Haiti. We never got to meet him because right when we got here he was taken. He told his story in church and it was crazy. He said he got taken back to Haiti and while in jail he could call one person. He said he has no one except the church so thats who he called. He called one of the leaders and they were able to go and get him and bring him back to his family. He dosent speak much spanish so we get along very well. Its so crazy how some thing really work out here there are just giant trucks with a giant cage and they just go around gathering them up. Pretty sad because a lot of them are good people just trying to leave their country because its so bad but they end up getting deported because of others who come here and cause trouble and stuff. Its cool to see that this guy even after getting deported still runs the risk of leaving and coming to church. Crazy faith that is so powerfull. That all that really happend i counted all the people that we are in teaching and people that we are trying to teach and we have over 50... crazy but its just so hard for them to come to church or respond to us.
