Elder Cannon Eagar- Dominican Republic Santiago Mission February 2025 - February 2027

  This week went good so far had a lot of lessons with people also have found a lot of other people that i got a lot of faith in. Somone pointed out to me that my spelling sucks so just ask my mom what i got on that stupid test in highschool and you will understand. It was bad.... i must say the bugs and rodents here are getting worse, lot more bugs and spinders in the apartment and outside. Yuck giant spiders here. I freaking found or i guess it found me it was like a rat guinea pig thing and was albino... we were teaching this lady in the street and it walked by me it took every bit of me to not kick it but you know i was like no im a missionary... and what if it was somones pet or somthin i dont know but it left me alone and just passed by.   Well, this week has been full of surprises.We had to drop two of our people that we had on for baptism dates. But one of the other ones got pushed back A week so don't know if we'll have any baptism this transfer but. Been able to find a lot of cool new people And get to know them too. This week was really busy between having zone conference and companion exchanges It was a pretty hectic week. I love walking in the streets.Cause all you hear's gringo, gringo, non-stop and all the little kids come running up to you and try to shake your hand and run their hands down your arm.Trying to slip the bracelet or watch or your ring off your fingers its pretty funny.   Well another week down time zooms.   monday through wednesday it was sunny hot sweaty and humid. Then the rest of the week was raining pretty much non stop. Kinda nice to see what actually rain is like. This week we had quiet a few appointments and actually got two people on baptism data so thats cool. We have also had a lot of people just block us and thats kinda frustrating so been lots of finding and contacting people in the streets. Spanish has improved its hard to see the change and its been pretty frustrating but im getting there. We have been teaching a guy names jesus and everytime we are there there is a little girl named annabell and a little boy named kevin that come over and talk with me. Its so fun because they dont laugh at me in a mean way when im strugglin to talk.   Wellllll been a absolute crazy week i am now in the republica deminicana right now and it is crazy to say the least! I love it i got put with a great companion that has litterly tought me so much like ive been giving parts of lessons and talking to so many people! We got assignment to a area that is whats called white wash its where its all new people and we like restart with everything because the people before like did nothin! So lottssss of talking to people on the streets trying to find new people. Its rain pretty much every day which is so cool not a lot but a little. The people here hate the rain it starts to sprinkle and everything just stops and no one is outside exept us its funny. The kids love us here its so fun ive already played in the streets with a bat and bottle caps and the kids were going crazy that a gringo what hitting the caps it was funny.
